Fire Security for Farms

Farm fires can be devastating with the destruction of buildings, the loss of machinery, livestock and produce.

Whilst farmers and producers go to great lengths to identify potential fire hazards and take appropriate steps to reduce risk, each year there are still over 1,000 fires in agriculture buildings, many of them housing livestock.*

At GBSG we work with farmers and producers to design and install fire alarm systems that ensure the early detection of any fire, allowing maximum time for escape and helping to minimise damage to buildings, machinery and other assets.

The type of fire alarm system that we recommend depends upon the nature of the business and the degree of risk to human life and farm assets. Dependent on these, we might recommend heat detectors, smoke detectors or an integrated fire detection system that automatically cuts off main supplies and activates fire shutters.

By working with us you’ll have peace of mind that you are working with a recognised fire professional. As a BAFE approved company, all of the fire systems that we provide meet the BAFE adopted SP203 scheme for the design, installation, commissioning, handover and maintenance of fire alarms and detection systems.

+Farm Fire Alarm Monitoring

In addition to providing a design, installation and maintenance service for fire systems, we also provide a monitoring service through our NSI Gold Standard Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).

This means that once a fire is detected, the alarm sounds and a digital signal is sent to our ARC within seconds, enabling us to call the emergency services immediately. This helps to ensure a fast response, thus helping to minimise the damage.
