Admar is a licensed database management and data supply company, dealing with list management, data cleaning as well as selling lists. Licensing requirements mean they have to protect the data held on their computer servers with high grade security with an accredited security supplier. After dealing with the disruption and costly aftermath of a break-in, the company introduced remote monitoring to tackle the problem and avoid a repeat.

We actually have a secure server housed in a room with a steel roof, but they maybe thought it was a doctor's surgery . The bill for damage came to over £5000, and although it was covered by insurance, it involved months of hassle and resulted in higher insurance premiums.
We hold a lot of sensitive personal data for customers like BT and Experian and for our licence we must have either a 24 hour presence or monitoring. After the burglary we decided to go for a system upgrade to include a beamed system with round the clock monitoring. We chose it over full time guarding because the ongoing cost was far cheaper and it gave us greater peace of mind.
We went back to GB Security Group, who had undertaken the original installation when our new offices were built. We chose them from a shortlist of accredited suppliers when we were shopping around for a combined CCTV and alarm company. We felt most comfortable with the service they were offering, went to see their operation and were impressed. The price was comparable, but more importantly we got a nice feel they would deliver on their promise.
Introducing the beamed system and remote video monitoring, we can now sleep peacefully. The benefit is that we are notified instantly. If the beam is broken, the operator can zoom in on registration numbers and give a verbal warning over the loudspeaker, which is a great comfort. Payback for the new system came in less than a year. It's a no brainer."
