GB Security Group installs CCTV monitoring systems to conform to the requirements of the Police and insurance companies


GBSG is accredited to and satisfies all the requirements of the National Security Inspectorate ARC Gold Scheme.

The CCTV monitoring industry is heavily regulated to ensure the highest levels of quality and reliability to provide customers with confidence in a fully compliant monitoring service. This is accepted by insurance companies, who offer a reduction in premiums, and police authorities, who provide a priority response.

  • National Security Inspectorate (NSI) ARC Gold - This ensures the highest level of compliance with NSI guidance. Accredited companies, like GBSG, are audited to guarantee that the installations of security systems are to industry standards. It also ensures that the company is fully supported by an ISO 9001 management system to guarantee the undertaking of key procedures such as staff training, false alarm management, customer satisfaction and complaint procedures.
  • Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) policy - The ACPO is about the requirements of police forces regarding the methods in which systems are policed.
  • Security Industry Authority (SIA) - This is an independent organisation established by the government under the terms of the Private Security Industry Act (PSIA) 2001 and become fully operational in March 2006. All GB Monitoring staff from Directors to Control room Operators are individually licensed, criminal record checked and fully vetted under this legislation.
  • SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) – This is a voluntary initiative for companies that aim to raise the performance standards even further and develop new opportunities. GB Monitoring were among the first to be accredited under this scheme and are assessed annually to retain the Approved Contractor Accreditation Mark.
  • British Security Industry Association (BSIA) - The BSIA is an industry body who influence and develop standards and procedures through input from manufacturers, installers, ACPO, insurers and alarm receiving centres.

Industry Standards

GB Security Group will work within the industry standards to produce effective remote monitoring of customers CCTV systems without compromise. Where BS8418 compliant systems are installed comprehensive procedures are in place to prevent loss of police response and ensure site integrity.

GBSG were one of the first remote video response centres to gain accreditation to monitor BS 8418 detector activated CCTV systems in accordance with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2008, NSI SSQS 102 and BS 5789:2007.
