Local fire and security company, GBSG celebrated National Employee Appreciation Day on 1st March by treating staff members to a delicious lunch. The company is celebrating its ruby anniversary this year and wanted to thank their staff for being such gems!
Around 16 team members joined bosses for fish and chips and a cuppa at the Donington offices near Spalding. GBSG has been one of the region’s most highly respected fire and security companies for the last 40 years. They know this is down to the hard work and commitment of their teams.
Neil Jackson, MD said “We are so grateful to our team for regularly going the extra mile for our customers. Obviously, we recognise their hardwork throughout the year, but we thought it would be nice to join in with the National Employee Appreciation Day this year. It’s so nice to get everyone together for an hour, have something to eat and just socialise a bit.”
Dave who has worked at GBSG for many years was one of those enjoying fish and chips with his team mates, he said: “It’s nice to be appreciated, small things like this really do make a difference day to day.”
National Employee Appreciation Day is an annual event designed to help companies recognise the achievements and contributions of employees in all industries. Launched in 1995 in America by Workman Publishing as a day to remind managers that a strong employer-employee relationship is at the core of any successful business, it is increasingly being celebrated here in the UK too.
GBSG Ltd specialises in fire and security systems for commercial and domestic properties throughout the UK. They are fast becoming one of the leading suppliers of security solutions for the solar energy sector nationally too.
