GBSG security guards have been recognised for the work they have carried out during COVID-19; and also to recognise their resilience and commitment; and to acknowledge their part as critical workers to keep the country running. The recognition and award was made to all security guards nationwide who are employed by members of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA). Simon Banks, Chairman of the BSIA, said: “Often the work within our sector can seem like the UK’s Hidden Workforce when it comes to recognising the contributions of the various services provided and the incidents we read about locally and nationally. I’m confident that the recognition of our exemplary security officers goes some way to remedying this.”
