GBSG Ltd is delighted to be providing a full security system for Sakata, the Lincolnshire based seed specialists. Sakata is a well established international business and its Sutterton site is the UK headquarters where seeds are tested, developed and distributed to meet the needs of UK growers.
How long has GBSG been working with Sakata’s security system?
GBSG first began working with Sakata in 2019, taking over the existing fire, CCTV and intruder security system which were already installed. The company wanted a more local supplier to provide monitoring and maintenance and chose GBSG which is one of Lincolnshire’s most established and well respected alarm and security solution companies.
As the security system has aged, issues started to arise.
“We were getting poor quality images from the older cameras, beam detectors were activating PTZ style cameras rather than fixed view cameras and this led to certain scenarios where time taken for cameras to move on their presets throughout the day was hampering site security. There was a risk that people could enter the site without us realising,” Rory Blackbourn at Sakata.
Which Security Products were specified?
Additional fire detectors have been installed to enhance the existing system.
GBSG has installed access control system and a HikVision CCTV system with the latest camera technology. Alongside this, the entire alarm system will be monitored by GBSG’s own alarm receiving centre (ARC) ensuring 24/7 protection.
“To date, the system has worked very well, we can see an overall improvement in coverage and quality,” said Rory.
Asked to describe GBSG in one word, Rory said “Professional”.
Sakata’s brand is “passion in seed” which fits perfectly with GBSG’s passion in security. For over 40 years, the company has been meeting the security needs of homeowners and businesses throughout Lincolnshire, Cambridge and nationwide.
