GBSG announces “Hunt the Ruby” treasure hunt for local community

As part of its 40 year Ruby anniversary celebrations, GBSG Ltd is hosting a special Treasure Hunt  competition in Donington on 16th August at 10am.

“Hunt the Ruby” is an event that is aimed at children living or attending schools in the village as well as accompanying parents for the younger participants.

“The village already has a Ruby Hunt community Hall which was named in honour of the wonderful Ruby Hunt MBE who worked tirelessly for the local community until she passed away aged 92. The GBSG “Hunt the Ruby” may well take in the Ruby Hunt centre – after all, it would be quite fitting,” said Eleanor Jackson, Marketing Coordinator and organiser of the event.

What’s involved?

Three different sized rubies will be hidden in the village, once found they are to be returned to the GBSG offices to receive a prize.

GBSG is proud of its 40 year history and is still operating from the same base in Donington where it employs many local people.

“We really value the people in Donington and further afield throughout Lincolnshire. Many of them remain our customers today and we are delighted to have built a strong reputation locally and, indeed nationally,” Neil Jackson, MD.

The Treasure Hunt is one of a few events the company is planning – look out for the next one in the Autumn.
